During the award ceremony of LUMO and Lionsbluff Secondary Sponsorship. Three winners representing 3 ranches, Lualenyi, Mramba and Oza were awarded. These students obtained 392, 382 and 348 marks, securing a chance to join Kenyatta High School, Chogoria Girls High School, and Dr. Aggrey High School consecutively.
The ceremony was graced by CECM- Education – Taita Taveta County, Madam Gloria; The Taita Subcounty director of education – Mr. Jilo, Mwatate assistant County commissioners-Mr. Wesamba and Miss. Damaris.
LUMO board, LUMO management, Lions Bluff management, school headteachers, and parents were present to witness the awarding of the three students. The students reported to their respective schools on the 15th of January, with the sponsorship fully catering for their tuition fees.
Also, in Samburu, the top student scored 387 marks and was from Lorubae Primary School. The boy got a calling letter from Meru School. In addition to the organization paying the tuition fees, it went the extra mile to help the parents do the student’s school shopping by catering 75% of the shopping budget, something out of the sponsorship provision.
In addition, CSO Waso Zone requested a sponsorship of a girl who was second in the region, as the girl’s family could not raise funds for her education. The girl scored 382 marks, from Waso Muslim primary and got a chance to join Chogoria Girls’ High School. CWC mobilized for her financial assistance, and she was able to join the school.
