Distribution of Sanitary Towels to school girls across Taita Hills & Lumo areas.
Our organization has partnered with OlMalaika Trust to provide women and girls with reusable sanitary pads to address menstrual hygiene challenges. These pads are incredibly innovative and environmentally conscious, and we are thrilled to be able to distribute them to communities in need. Specifically, we have provided more than 300 kits to schools in the Taita Hills and Lumo areas, including St. James, Mwangea, and Lushangonyi primary schools. But it’s not just the impact of these pads on the environment that we love; it’s also the fact that they are hand-stitched by the girls of OlMalaika Home in the Maasai Mara. This program is not only providing young women with essential items that can help improve their quality of life, but it’s also empowering them to take control of their own future through skills development and participation.
