On May 10, 2024, CWC joined the ‘Tree Growing Day’ at LUMO Community Wildlife Conservancy. The activity was graced by Tourism and Wildlife Cabinet Secretary Dr. Alfred Mutua, in remembrance of all the Kenyans who lost their lives during the April-May 2024 rains, which caused floods. Together with the community members, and other stakeholders, we managed to plant over 6000 trees in the conservation area. Among other dignities present were the Taita Taveta County Governor, Deputy Governor, the Women Representative, Mwatate MP, Deputy County commissioner, the assistant County commissioner, and other county leaders
